Dear Authors and Publishers,
Thank you so much for your interest in my blog! I really appreciate you stopping by. I do accept review requests for books in my listed genres, but I am also open to looking at books outside of my preferred genres as well.
I accept requests from big name publishing houses, as well as indie and self-published authors alike.
I accept digital books in ePUB format (for Kindle), bound books, and ARCs/eARCs. I will not accept Audiobooks.
At this time, I am not open to beta reading anything unless I’ve worked with you in the past.
If you would like to be featured in some other way (guest post, reveals, book tours, excerpt/teaser promotions, etc) feel free to email about that as well. Be sure to include preferred dates for your item or I will ignore the request.
What genres will I review?
- Fiction (Young Adult / New Adult / Adult / Middle Grade)
- Fantasy / High Fantasy / Urban Fantasy
- Paranormal / Paranormal Romance
- Contemporary / Contemporary Romance
- Dystopian (very selective)
- Mystery
- Romance
- Thrillers
- Murder-mystery / whodunit
- Nonfiction in specific niches
- ADHD
- Homemaking
- Homesteading
- JAFF (Jane Austen Fanfiction)
- Pride and Prejudice or crossovers only
What genres do I not accept?
- Memoirs or Biographies
- Horror / gore
- War
- Anything in a foreign language. I’m yet confident enough in my French or Hebrew to not choose the books myself. English only, please.
- Books in a series I have not started (unless it’s the first in a series)
- Dedicated erotica; scene are fine, but I need a plot.
- Romance where the primary pairing is LGBQ+ where the romance is rather central to the plot or mentioned heavily. Side characters are fine, but primary pairings, it’s just not my taste as a straight woman.
- Anything with heavy religious tones, regardless of the religion.
An accepted review copy does not guarantee a review.
Usually, I will get around to them, but an accepted request just means I am interested. It is not a promise to review.
What is my turnaround?
I don’t give a time frame anymore. Between my anxiety and being a mood-reader, I can work myself up to a panic-induced procrastination and stop reading for months if I put too much pressure on myself.
If you want me to review a book before it is released, my turnaround will be a month. I will try to get it reviewed by the publishing date, but without a month’s time, I will not be able to make that deadline.
You cannot control the outcome of my reviews. If you aren’t willing to risk a poor rating, do not offer your book up. I’m generally really good at choosing books based on the synopsis, so lower ratings are rare for me. My review will be completely honest and constructive, and will be posted to all of my outlets. I will not refrain from posting a lower review, however, I do not go out of my way to post anything below a 4 start rating on a release day unless requested. 1-3 star ratings are automatically added to my quarterly postings.
Where will my reviews be posted?
All reviews are posted to my blog and cross-posted to my social media accounts. They will then be reposted to social media for additional exposure over the following months and in round-up posts.
Reviews are also posted to my Goodreads, Bookhype, and Amazon accounts on a quarterly basis, unless the review is for an ARC that is posted on publication date. Reviews with a 4-5 star rating or that have held a viral status (on social media) in the last few months are prioritized in the posting order. If you would like the review posted elsewhere, let me know in your request and I will consider doing so.
What will the review include?
- Book cover
- Synopsis (provided by Goodreads, Amazon, or the publisher)
- Publishing information
- Purchase links (through affiliated sites)
- How the book was obtained
- Honest review
- Rating (1-5 stars, formulated from a modified CAWPILE rating)
- Content warning (if applicable)
What to include when you request a review.
I have a Review Requests form for you to request reviews with. At the very least, please fill out these fields when you request. Please put your links in the information section or the fields provided.
- Author Name(s)
- Book title
- Synopsis
- Publish date
- Content warnings (please don’t forget these – I loathe surprises and it will effect the review)
